Trying to determine if you need individual Career Coaching?

LaMont Shedrick encourages you to discover more on this Web site and to ask questions to determine if coaching is right for you.

Coaching is a partnership between the coach and client designed to improve and enhance the client’s quality of life.

Unlike counseling, Career Coaching is a process of self-discovery where the coach listens, observes and adapts their approach to each individual clients needs. Career Coaches help their clients discover their true career aspirations and implement their own solutions.

Career Coaching should not be confused with counseling, which may delve into the past. Career Coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go. And of course, we recommend counseling and therapy for those whose life issues require more comprehensive or medical care.

What is a Coach?
“Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives.

Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.
